The Kipps Bay Palm Beach Showhouse is one of my favorites to visit. Amazing designers from all over the country are selected to show their best. It is always an inspiring showhouse to get a feel for the direction of interior design. This year’s house (actually, houses) did not disappoint. The main house was situated on the Intracoastal Waterway, and the other home – a small cottage – was across the street. Although they were separate homes, the styles and themes repeated.
The key takeaway from the showhouse is that maximalism back! Maximalism is not about shoving more and more into a home. It is about decorating with details. No space is ignored. From the ceiling to the floor, and the windows to the walls (sorry, I couldn’t resist), the Palm Beach Showhouse proved that more is more. Here are some highlights:
